Disney World Epcot

Opened in 1982, Disney World Epcot is two parks in one. Originally named Epcot Center, it now is simply known as Epcot.

Twice as big as the Magic Kingdom theme park, Epcot consists of Future World and the World Showcase.

Future World, which is located immediately after the entrance to the park is comprised of different pavilions each housing attractions that thrill, entertain and educate on such topics as humanity, energy, the land, innoventions and imagination.

In The Seas with Nemo and Friends you'll find a beautiful new attraction that takes you on an undersea adventure with the characters of "Finding Nemo" along with some real live ocean dwellers. In this pavilion you'll also find Turtle Talk with Crush a really cute interactive show with everyone's favorite 150 year old sea turtle.

Inside Spaceship Earth the symbolic sphere of Epcot, you'll gently ride into space while learning about the earth from the dawn of man to the possibilities of the future.

The other big draws in this particular park are some of the best simulated rides you'll ever try, Soarin', Mission Space, and Test Track.

As you move out of Future World toward the 41 acre lagoon, you enter The World Showcase. Arranged around the lagoon are pavilions representing 11 countries from all parts of the world.

You will experience the sounds, tastes, sites and shopping of places like China, Norway, Italy, America and France. Each pavilion offers unique exhibits to give you a feel for the country it represents.

Take your time at Disney World Epcot. To fully appreciate all this park has to offer you should allow at least two days to visit the park if possible.

The time of year you travel; the crowd levels; and how well you plan will dictate how much you are able to see and do in a day.

This is no way "official" Disney information. The purpose is to share information based on my own research and personal experience. I'm not getting paid by Disney in any way to rave about them..... :-) All my raving is genuine. That means I'll be completely honest with my opinions.
