This collection of fun party games for Halloween are some of the best we've found. They cost very little to put together but this set of fun Halloween games will provide lots of good times at your next graveyard bash.
When writing up your invitations be sure to let everyone know to bring their empty "trick or treat" buckets from home.
This will come in handy for some of the games and is a great way for guests to tote home goodies and prizes. (Make sure you have extras for little goblins who forget to bring one.)

Have your party guests sit in a circle and hand out your pumpkins making sure there is one less then there are players. One person will be empty handed.
When the music starts players hand the pumpkins off to the right and keep them moving around the circle until the music stops.
Once the music stops the player without a pumpkin is out of the game.
After each round remove a pumpkin so there is always one less pumpkin than players.
This continues until you are left with one player holding the pumpkin.
This is one of the best Halloween party games for kids for when you need to settle the masses. I used a variation of this game at a birthday party right before it was time to go home.
You Will Need:
Witch's Hat
Cauldron (a bowl)
Walnut shells or Small Dixie Cups (one fewer than the number of kids)
Orange and Yellow paint
Break open the walnuts and paint inside of each half either orange or yellow. If you don't have nuts use the small dixie cups and paint a yellow or orange dot on the inside bottom of each.
Players sit in a circle around the cauldron. Inside the cauldron are the shells face down so that the paint inside cannot be seen. Each player takes a turn choosing a shell without revealing the color inside to anyone else.
The player chosen as "it" wears the witches hat and walks around the circle going to each player trying to telepathically sense what color that player is holding.
Players in the circle can't speak but should be encouraged to focus on the color they are holding and try to send a message to "it" with their mind. Think, "orange, orange, orange"
Once "it" takes a guess, the player reveals their color and someone keeps track of correct guesses.
Everyone takes a turn being "it" and the player with the most correct guesses gets to keep the witches hat.
Raw Sugar Cookies already cut into Halloween shapes
Icing in squeeze tubes
Sprinkles
Candies
Give everyone a couple of cookies on a paper plate on waxed paper and let them decorate them any way they want. Bake them off while more Halloween party games for kids are played.
Send them home in the goody bags or make them the final treat at the party.
Put together groups of three. They pick one person as the mummy. The other two will be wrappers.
Race to see who can use the whole roll to wrap their mummy from head to toe first. It isn't as easy as it sounds because the toilet paper will tear if pulled too hard. Also, make sure they leave little noses and mouths free for breathing. :)
Construction paper, fabric scraps, buttons, yarn....or any other scrap items that can be used as embellishment.
Cover your table with newspaper or a plastic Halloween table cover and let everyone choose a pumpkin or gourd to decorate. Prepare some ahead of time with funny faces, scary faces and funky hair to give your guests some inspiration.
3 to 5 Ping Pong Balls - Use permanent markers to make them look like eyeballs.
Trick-or-Treat Buckets, or Halloween Party Cups
Set your pumpkins or plastic cups up on a table giving a point value to each one, like at a carnival.
Give everyone three eyeballs, or however many you have and let them take turns tossing them into the pumpkins.
Total everyones points and let them choose a prize based on how many points they were able to get. Just make sure no matter what that everyone gets a prize.
At least 3 Skeleton Decorations- The kind with movable bones. You will need to take them apart.
This game is played in teams. Decide ahead of time how many teams you will have then purchase that many skeletons.
Carefully take the skeletons apart , bone by bone, keeping all the parts together. Label skeleton parts so you can tell which parts go together. You can name the skeletons to do this, then write his name on each "bone".
Mix up all the pieces then hide them all over before your guests arrive. Break everyone up into teams and assign them a skeleton to find. If they find bones of another skeleton they need to leave those bones where they are, being careful not to let the other teams know where those bones are.
The first team to find their entire skeleton and reconstruct it wins.
This game is especially fun for older kids played outside, after dark, with flashlights.
