Free Online Math Games

Here I've compiled some of the best sites available to find free online math games and printables. I've visited each site myself and have even had my kids try them out.

In order for a site to be on this list it must provide FREE access to games and activities. It must have, in our humble opinion, real value as a learning tool, and most importantly, it must be fun, easy and safe for your kids to use.

Free Online Math Games:

Coolmath4kids.com: Colorful, Fun, easy to navigate site with lots of neat math games that even younger kids can handle on their own.

Coolmath.com: Counterpart to coolmath4kids.com. This site is equally as vibrant and colorful but has more challenging math skills tailored to kids 13 and up.

Coolmath-games.com : Another in the "cool math" family of sites. This site has really cool games that cover topics like geometry and gravity. My 6th grader loves the Gemswap game. I just spent 30 minutes playing Geometry Pool. Too much fun! :)

Sheppards Software: Younger kids will need parental help at first to set them up on a game but it's worth it. Fantastic site for your middle schoolers to practice skills in their own. Also has language games.

Arcademic Skills Builders : All kinds of arcade racing games with bright, colorful graphics to help a variety of math skills. This site also offers multiplayer games. Your child can host a game and have friends log in from their homes and race each other. Very cool. My 6 year old 1st grader LOVED the racing themed games and the bright, easy to see graphics.

Kidzone : Wonderful printable math worksheets. Easy to navigate site allows you to search according to grade level, skill or season. Printing seasonal math practice makes it more fun.

A Plus Math : Flashcards, puzzles, hidden pictures, worksheets and more give your student fun ways to drill their basic math skills. We found this site easy to navigate and good practice for my 2nd grader.

Toon University : Very neat sounds, action and graphics teach Math, Money, and Language arts skills. (Scroll to the center of the homepage to find the list of games.)

Mymathgames.com : Practice basic math skill using action games themed around popular cartoon characters (Teen Titans, Batman, Scooby Doo and more) . Easy to navigate and even includes games covering fractions and calculus.

learn-with-math-games.com: This site is a wonderful resource for both online and printable math games, tables and activities. You can search by grade level, type of math or types of games. This site is easy to navigate and great for Moms who like to print activities for their kids.
