Peanut Butter Playdough
Your kids will have a lot of fun with Peanut Butter Playdough. It's a really neat after school snack that they can actually play with first.
There are a lot of variations to this recipe. It can be adjusted according to taste, lactose intolerance, or the amount you need.
Ingredients:- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Combine the peanut butter and honey.
- Add the powdered sugar gradually until the dough reaches the desired consistency.
Most recipes for this dough use powered milk in place of the powdered sugar. The sugar is a good substitution for kids who are lactose intolerant. We use the powered sugar because it's what we usually have handy, and the kids like the taste. If the taste is too rich you can cut back on the honey. Corn meal and corn muffin mix are also good alternatives to the powdered milk. I use this recipe as an after school snack, and also put out some raisins, pretzel sticks, wheat crackers, and grapes so the kids can sculpt, then eat their creations. Making this every now and then takes no more effort than making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but it's a lot more fun for everyone.
