Make a Treasure Box

These are simple instructions to make a unique, decorated treasure box that can be used for many reasons.

You will need:

  • A shoe box or any box deep enough to hold your keepsakes.
  • Construction Paper, Holiday Wrapping Papers, or Fabric Remnants
  • An assortment of stickers, beads, pom-poms...anything you like to decorate your box.

To make a special box for your Keepsakes:

  1. Cover the outside of the box with Paper or Fabric of your choice.
  2. Cover the top as well.
  3. Decorate with stickers, cutouts, beads, pom-poms, glitter...anything you like.
  4. For added flair you can line the inside of your keepsake box with felt.

I use this as a surPrize box at parties.

Cut a hole in the top just big enough for a child to get their hand in then decorate top and bottom. Fill the box with small toys and candy. Have party-goers close their eyes and reach in for a prize during party games.

Nobody's a loser when you have a surPrize box handy. :-)
